We find ourselves in Vermont. The Jenkins family just turned off County Route 10 onto a private gravel road that leads to Grandma and Grandpa’s lake house.
Tina and Timmy are very excited. They come and visit their grandparents the same week each summer.
The car pulls up to the house and Grandma and Grandpa greet them all with big hugs and kisses.
The smell of fresh blueberry muffins is in the air.
Tina asked: “Grandma, can we do pottery again this year?”
GrandmaBNB answered: “No sugarplum, the pottery store ran out of supplies this week.”
GrandpaBNB says: “Timmy, want to help me make some new fishing lures?”
Timmy: “Gee whiz grandpa, let’s go!”
GrandpaBNB took Timmy to a small workshop down by the lake.
As they walked, Timmy noticed a motor boat tied to the dock.
He said: “Grandpa, can we go out on the boat? Please! And can we camp out in the woods this year?”
GrandpaBNB: “Uh, it is unfortunately out commission sport! And Grandpa’s back might not be able to make that hike to the campsite at the top of the mountain. Maybe next year!”
Tina got right to helping GrandmaBNB with a fresh batch of muffins.
The week was glorious and perfect for everyone.
As they pulled away, GrandmaBNB and GrandpaBNB waved with big smiles and went inside and sat at the kitchen table.
GrandmaBNB opened her laptop.
The Phillips family were set to check in at 3pm.
They had six kids, so the actors playing Grandma and Grandpa took the next hour looking at their pictures and memorizing their names the best they could. Their pay could be docked for misnaming someone.
The next day Mom and Dad Jenkins received their GrandparentsBNB invoice via email.
Mom Jenkins said: “Maybe next year we’ll order the motorboat, camping and pottery for the kids?”
